O.J. Simpson got in prison after he was found guilty of stealing some of his signed sports memorabilia from a collector in a Las Vegas hotel room. He had a gun while the robbery occurred. “I’ve done my time. I’ve done it as well and as respectfully as I think anyone can,” said Simpson at his parole hearing in 2017. He was released from prison in October 2017 after serving nine years in jail.

However, even if they were given $33.5 million, Simpson “has never honored or paid one single penny of the judgment,” said Ron Goldman’s father.

Interviews after his time in jail got him a couple of millions. He also has a pension of $19,000 a month from the NFL and money from the Screen Actors Guild pension fund. However, his pension money and his personal pension of around $5 million can’t be touched in order to pay for his debt. “Pensions are bulletproof,” said the lawyer for the Goldman family. “Absent divine intervention, they are nearly impossible to topple. This is frustrating.”
